How do I showcase the specific work and projects that relate to a class or volunteer experience listed in the “About” section of my Portfolium?
This simple, but powerful question has had quite an impact on our new profile layout launching sitewide today! Our team gathered valuable feedback from faculty, staff, students, and employers, and has developed a framework to link projects and artifacts in a user’s portfolio with the curriculum and resume experience they represent. The #1 indicator of job performance is work samples, yet our comfortability with the resume has limited our ability to recruit based on these work samples – until now!
Employers on Portfolium can now easily peek beneath the resume and beneath the transcript to see immediate proof of skills and competencies via robust work samples. Projects completed within a course, work experience or volunteer experience, etc. are linked and now viewed together within a user’s profile.
What this means to you:
- This new profile is the default view for visitors using your unique URL
- Your entries may have been automatically synced to your profile and can easily be edited anytime
To take full advantage and bring your new profile to life, link your work samples to profile records!
